CSV Export: Routing Rules (Split Orders by Carrier) and Shipping Lead Time
plan: Pro plan only (R6)
screens: "Settings" → "Routing rules" / "Settings" → "Shipping lead time" / "Ship by today" in the "Order List"
verified_from: The CSV screen implementation (screens and calculation of routing rules and shipping lead time) + human-facing manual
ui_verified: Field names were confirmed from the code. Visual confirmation on the real screen has not been done
SUMMARY
- Routing rules: orders are judged by conditions and split per carrier (= CSV template). The result appears as the per-template counts in the Order List, and each template can be exported.
- Shipping lead time: calculates an order’s “ship date”. The result can be filtered with “Ship by today” in the Order List.
Both are tabs inside “Settings” of the Pro CSV screen.
Routing rules
FACTS
R-1 Set in "Settings" → "Routing rules". The main switch is "Route by template". When OFF, no routing is done and all orders are exported to each template.
R-2 One rule = one template (carrier). A rule has "conditions", and orders that meet them are routed to that template.
R-3 When a rule has several conditions, it is "match if any is met" (OR). It is not evaluated as "AND".
(Wanting "only when all of several conditions are met" cannot be done by crafting conditions. ESCALATE)
R-4 There are two kinds of "Routing mode":
"Exclusive" … orders are evaluated from the top and routed only to the carrier of the first rule they meet (default)
"Match all" … evaluated with all rules and routed to the carriers of all rules they meet (the same order enters several templates)
R-5 Orders that match no rule are routed to the template marked "Default" (★). Choose the default destination under "If no rule matches".
R-6 "Split items within an order" is a separate feature. When one order has products of different carriers mixed, only the products matching each template's "Product Split conditions" are split and exported to that template.
It cannot be combined with "Match all" mode. It also cannot be used when a template with "Export split by delivery fulfillment unit" is chosen.
R-7 When you edit a rule, the "Simulator" recalculates immediately, and you can check the result of routing the current orders (counts per template) before exporting.
R-8 The condition's "Field" is an order item (shipping address, product name, product tags, order tags, total price, total weight, etc.). Numbers use a range; strings use "contains", "contains any", etc.
PROC-R1 Start using routing (example: split Sagawa and Yamato by address)
Where: App left menu "Order List" > top tab "Settings" > "Routing rules"
Steps:
1. In "Settings" → "CSV templates" prepare the templates of the carriers you want to export (example: ヤマト B2クラウド, 佐川 e飛伝3)
2. Open "Settings" → "Routing rules" and turn ON "Route by template"
3. In the rule of the destination template press "Add condition" and specify the field (example: shipping address) and values (example: Hokkaido, Okinawa)
4. Under "If no rule matches" choose the default destination ("Default carrier")
5. Check the counts per template in the "Simulator"
6. Save with "Save" at the top of the screen
Result: in the Order List, the counts per template are split according to the conditions. Export the CSV with "Export" of each template
PROC-R2 Change the evaluation order of conditions
Where: App left menu "Order List" > top tab "Settings" > "Routing rules"
Steps: in "Exclusive" mode, change the order by "Drag to reorder" the rules. They are "Evaluated top-down" and the first matching rule is adopted
Note: in "Match all" mode the order has no effect (all rules are evaluated)
PROC-R3 Use a different carrier per product within one order (example: only frozen food to another template)
Where: App left menu "CSV" > top tab "Settings" > "Routing rules"
Prerequisites: "Route by template" is ON. The routing mode is "Exclusive" (it cannot be used with "Match all"). It also cannot be used when a template with "Export split by delivery fulfillment unit" is chosen (R-6)
Steps:
1. Turn ON "Split items within an order"
2. In each rule, press the pencil (edit) icon on the "Item split" row to open "(carrier name) — item split"
3. With "Add OR condition", set the condition of the products that go into that template (example: the product tag contains "Frozen") and save
4. Check with the "Simulator" / preview that the order is split by product, then save with "Save" at the top of the screen
Result: only the products matching the condition are split and exported to that template. Products that match no item-split condition go to the template that matched the rule's condition, or else to the "Default" template
QA (routing)
- Q: One order goes into two templates. A: Check that the routing mode is not “Match all” (R-4). To make it one, use “Exclusive”.
- Q: An order enters no template / everything enters the same template. A: When “Route by template” is OFF, all orders appear in each template (R-1). Orders that match no rule go into the default template (R-5). Check the counts in the simulator.
- Q: I want to route only orders that meet both conditions (AND). A: Several conditions in one routing rule are evaluated with OR (R-3). AND cannot be set (the conditions inside a shipping lead time rule are evaluated with “and”, the opposite of routing, so do not mix them up — LT-6), so ask for the concrete conditions and, if needed, draft an inquiry to the developer.
- Q: I want a different carrier per product within the same order. A: Use “Split items within an order” (R-6, steps in PROC-R3). In each template’s “Product Split conditions”, specify the products that go into that template.
Shipping lead time
FACTS
LT-1 Set in "Settings" → "Shipping lead time". It is effective only when "Use shipping lead time" is ON, and the "Ship by today" tab appears in the Order List.
LT-2 Ship date = order date + lead-time days ("N days from the order date"). In a rule with "requested date first" ON, an order that has a delivery date is calculated backward as delivery date − lead-time days. An order without a delivery date always uses the order date addition.
LT-3 When the lead time is 0 days it shows "On order date" (same-day shipping); with "requested date first" and 0 days it shows "On requested date".
LT-4 When "Subtract business days only" (calculate excluding holidays) is ON, days are counted excluding holidays. Holidays refer to the holiday calendar (group) in "Settings".
LT-5 For a rule with "Order cutoff time (optional)" set, with order-date addition, orders placed after the cut-off time get +1 day.
LT-6 Rules are evaluated from the top and the first rule whose conditions are met is adopted (several conditions in a rule are "and"). Orders that match no rule follow "★ Default lead time".
LT-7 The basis of time and date is the store's time zone.
LT-8 "Ship by today" filters orders whose ship date is today (store time zone) or earlier (including orders already past the ship date).
PROC-LT1 Set the shipping lead time (example: frozen food ships 4 days before the delivery date)
Where: App left menu "Order List" > top tab "Settings" > "Shipping lead time"
Steps:
1. Open "Settings" → "Shipping lead time" and turn ON "Use shipping lead time"
2. Press "Add rule" ("Add shipping lead rule") and enter "Rule name"
3. In "Conditions" specify the field and value (example: product tags, Frozen). Several conditions become "and" with "Add AND condition"
4. Specify the number of days (lead time), and to count backward from the delivery date turn ON "requested date first"
5. To not count holidays, turn ON "Subtract business days only"
6. "Add" → "Save" at the top of the screen
7. In "★ Default lead time" set the number of days for orders that match no rule
Result: opening an order shows the ship date and the applied rule. With "Ship by today" you can filter the orders whose ship date is today or earlier
QA (shipping lead time)
- Q: The “Ship by today” tab does not appear. A: Check that “Use shipping lead time” is ON (LT-1).
- Q: What is the ship date of an order with no delivery date? A: It is calculated as order date + lead-time days (LT-2). Even with “requested date first” ON, an order without a requested date uses the order date addition.
- Q: I do not want Saturdays and Sundays counted. A: Turn ON “Subtract business days only” and put Saturday and Sunday into the holiday settings (LT-4).
- Q: The ship date is off / not as expected. A: Check in order the order of the rules (LT-6), whether requested date first is used (LT-2), the order cutoff time (LT-5), the holiday settings (LT-4), and the store’s time zone (LT-7). Ask for the order number and the displayed applied rule (ESCALATE).
