Orders may be placed with a delivery date earlier than the earliest possible date.

The following causes and countermeasures are considered.

Cause

This can occur if an item is added to the cart and the checkout screen is reached but not purchased and left unattended. For example, if the checkout screen URL is opened directly at a later date, or if a link to the checkout screen is directly included in an abandoned cart email, it is possible that the date earlier than the earliest possible date remains and the checkout is completed.

Countermeasure

With the Checkout Screen Validation feature, you can verify that the date is after the earliest possible date on the checkout screen.
